Media Moves: 6/24 + something personal
Another week, another set of mostly unpredictable media moves. Plus, there's a new e-commerce media initiative in town: the Wall Street Journal's Buy Side vertical is here.
These are unprecedented times…how often have you used this phrase in the past six months? I’ve used it more than once—too often!
Today I learned that the comical and unrealistic shit show known as “the Supreme Court” overturned Roe v. Wade. (I say this as if it is allegedly their title because they sure as hell don’t deserve it, considering that they’ve shown the American people over and over again that they do not have our health or basic human rights in mind.) We just don’t fit their agenda of lining their pockets with blood money from the NRA and such. Sorry, not sorry.
Without proper access to abortions, people will die. That’s a fact.
I mean, we actually have to have corporations speak out for us because lawmakers are only capable of listening when dollar bills are involved. It’s horrific to live in a time when we are being stripped of our own autonomy and forced to abide by strict regulations set by people who don’t even have a basic working knowledge of the basic human reproductive system—yet these are the people that want to tell us what to do with our bodies. (I swear; I dare you to Google how some of these lawmakers describe conception, they don’t have the slightest clue. If it weren’t so appalling, it might be funny.)
Unacceptable. This just means the battle must continue and we must do everything in our power to educate ourselves on the current laws and who we need to vote out in these coming elections.
Please stay informed my friends!
