I swear I cleared my inbox yesterday…and this is after deleting some irrelevant emails. Clearly, it's hard to get my attention during crunch time.
I've been pretty productive these past few months, but I've also had plenty of rest time. Yet, not really. I woke up on Wednesday morning already groggy. I had a summer Friday off (not to be confused with the wonderful skincare brand), so my long weekend was extra long.
It's like I forgot my internal schedule—The sun still hasn't set at 9 pm here. My body and mind are scrambled, so sue meee! (Too bad the evening is also when I get my best ideas.)
It's too hot for me, and I live in Ohio, so I can't imagine the temps others are facing right now. The only time I'm willing to step a foot outside is when I'm watching episodes of Homegrown, otherwise, I'm sweating at just the thought.
Whenever I let the dogs out, I force myself to get a little vitamin D with them. In my defense, I also spent my weekend weeding our little 'garden.' And by 'garden,' I mean a patch of randomly planted shrubs, but I worked hard on those little guys. (And I'm proud to say most of them are thriving.) I admit, not without complaint.
And that's a little about what I've been up to. 😅
Anyway, it's time to hustle. I've most likely received your Prime Day pitches. Now I just need to go through them and get to organizing. I'm also doing a lot of scribbling these days, so I can remind myself of a million things later that blast through my brain for a brief moment.
If you can send your clients' PD sales or competing sales in one email so I can use it as a reference for upcoming stories and pitches, I would greatly appreciate it. Keep it short and sweet, it's all I can retain at the moment.
As usual, send me your pitches: wendy.vazquez@dotdashmdp.com. And DDM has an ongoing reference list of PD sales (solely those participating) that many of us writers and editors will be using. If you want to submit your client's PD sale, let me know, and I can share the link.
